Wonderful

Good location, walking distance to shopping, party and transportation. Spacious rooms. Quiet even both sides have construction sites.

Lightly old interiors, but it didnt disturb.

Good location almost directly opposite Patpong. Friendly staff

Not enough electrical light, very dark at night. No working desk; there are several desks/boards mounted to the wall, but due to having drawers there is not enough space for one's legs

Great base from which to explore the hedonistic delights of Dreamboys etc

Good pillows. Sexy shower set up - appropriate perhaps in view of what's next door. Fuss free and yet secure entry n exit into wee hours of the night. Powerful aircon

Inexplicably protruding base of bed led to more than one bump as one walked about.

No Telephones in Rooms. Poor Selection in Minibar (if you are going to have them, do them properly). Limited Room Service Hours - IT 2018 - not 1963. Arriving at Reception - Staff look Sombre and Stressed - helpful but ...where is the Joy?

Rip off hotel charge you to fart !

Room was clean air good was good shower was powerful

We arrived at the hotel two hours early due to flight times etc and your not allowed into your room until 2pm. We were desperate for a shower and to get into bed and the staff told us our room was ready but if we wanted to go into our room now we would have to pay early room fee of TB1600 (£36). We paid this begrudgingly staff not helpful. One of many things wrong with this hotel.

Meeting friends out for beers

This is an excellent location to explore the surrounding area. The area itself can be a bit dodgy at night, but the hotel is top notch.

I was a bit disappointed with breakfast. It was fine, but not as good as I would have expected from such a nice hotel.

Great location, 2 minute walk to the BTS Sala Deng, and 5 minutes to the MRT.

Very loud 24 Hrs a day, but that's to be expected due to its location. TV channels primarily Thai and Japanese, both English movie channels had frozen for days. My room was very dark because of the cladding on the front of the building

Great location and well appointed rooms.

For some reason I was allocated the smoking floor, which I didn't realise until my second visit. The smoke odour the second time around was unbearable, luckily staff were able to reallocate to another room after my second enquiry.

What was the highlight of The Raya Surawong Bangkok

Raya was an quiet oasis in a very colorful area with great street life, would definitely stay again.

The main thing with the Raya is it's fanastic location is in close proximity to both the BTS and MRT transit lines, making getting around a breeze. The room was super clean, perhaps a little sterile with no carpet ~ but that added to the feeling of cleanliness and after a couple of days it felt like home. The best things were the great Rain shower (always hot with nice pressure) and the Wifi was generally very speedy. TV had CNN and another English news channel in addition to both Thai and Japanese programming. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Raya. Using the room card to enter and go straight up in elevator to your floor was handy later in the evening (Lobby was on 5th floor) ~ there was security at the Main Door from late afternoon to the early hours of the morning. The Staff were very friendly and attended to all my needs quickly and pleasantly.

The bed seems a bit hard at first, but I got used to it and in the end it was really great for my back.
